Medieval festival Provins

Provins is a beautiful small town East of Paris. Each year in the end of June during two days this small town is transformed into a magnificent medieval festival starring a lot of street artists, handicrafts, ancient  crafts. You can discover how people lived during the Middle Ages in Europe.

The town has still got its ancient houses,  fortress and battlements.

Some offer medieval food prepared according to ancient recipes.

So cool to discover artcraft. People are always ready to explain history.

At each corner you can taste food and drinks.

People suffered from meadow. Sick lived apart from the town to die in a small town. No-one came near fearing to get sick too.

Many visitors come disguised. Normally, it’s supposed to be Medieval but any fantasy costumes are welcomed too.

Don’t miss theatre. It’s hilarious!

Watch out to not eat or/and drink too much, you might end like this 😂
